AMA Women Physicians Section Standing Committee Volunteer Application
The AMA-WPS Standing Committee, Growing the Representation and Reach of Women Leaders, aims to advance women in leadership positions by addressing barriers and promoting leadership development. The committee also aims to identify, analyze, and address equity gaps that women in medicine face, particularly those of minority backgrounds. Committee members are requested to serve two-year terms. Regular meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at 7:00 PM Central Time for 75-90 minutes (with the expectation of no meetings in August and December). Members are expected to attend all 10 meetings annually, with up to two absences allowed.
